This entry is to convince people out there that diet and exercise really do help with obesity. Some of the weight I lost was coincidental but much of it was intentional however, both ways were contributed by my lifestyle changes.
Hi! I'm new here. I didn't see an introduction type post, so I thought I would just give a brief intro. I'm 28 (female), live in Northern IL, and have been a regular exerciser for several years. I am currently training for my second half-marathon at the beginning of the May. I hope to find inspiration and be kept accountable in this community!
Today's Workout:
It is GOREGOUS out today in my neck of the woods! Loving it! So, outside AM run - 4.5 miles. My Labrador, Gracie, comes with me for the first 2.5 miles, then I drop her off back at home and complete the rest of my run.
After run - went to the gym for muscle conditioning class, 45 minutes.
Had a rough work out day today - my legs feel super tired.
This is my first post on Daily Exercise, and I'm hoping to gain more responsibility through others keeping an eye on me. ;-)
My goal isn't to lose weight, seeing as I'm kind of scrawny. My goal is to gain muscle and strength as well as endurance and energy. I'm only 18, but at times I feel like I'm ancient. I'm too young to feel so stiff and tired all the time, so I'm going to regain my youth before it's gone.
This is my fourth week of beginner's exercise, and also my last. Next week I plan to take my first month of timeline pictures (I keep them on a private LJ setting since I'm barely clothed so no peeking!) and then take it up a notch. I've been doing really well so far but I know that next week is gonna be hard for me. I hope I can count on you guys for support and vice versa.
Yeah I figured! It's just my job at work is a lot of standing, bending and being on your feet all day so hopefully I will get used to it after a few weeks and be able to do 3x/week workouts.
In the workout, we do more than just swings. There's presses, cleans, squats, arm rows, etc and you do a lot of them! Mostly my IT band and glutes were sore! Hard to fat bike home hehe!
Before I started having health issues I used to do kettlebell swings twice a day (first thing in the morning and after I got home from work). I loved it because it was a quick all body workout. What…
