It's true.. I join the ranks of the undead.. I mean working types, got offered a job today, start Thursday, for the company that I went to see for job advice, then got an interview there.. seems me being as diverse as I am and having that glowing personality made me the clear winner.. ahh wonderful.. a pinstripe kilt is now within my grasp :D

I applied for this job ages ago, and the deadline for the shortlisting had come and gone, so I thought.. hmm will give them a ring, see why I did not make it, you know get some feed back etc., turns out they "sent out a letter" saying I made the list, good job I gave them a ring huh

Well now I can say yes.. I have 1 sitting inbetween my PC's.. there is a lot of slanging matches going on.. and it seems the mac is outnumbered.. sure it looks pretty.. but damn it weighs a tonne.. its made out of solid concrete I am sure, at least it will survive when I give it a good kicking.. well maybe I am best not doing that. its K8's works.. they have been kind enough to loan it to me. Will it help me get work.. who knows, if it does.. I might buy one myself.. but something a little less.. bulky.. a powerbook.. say goodbye to eating for the next month or so.. those things cost an arm and a leg.. and maybe a kidney

ok so he is not from Delmonte, but regardless, I was picked at the post by someone that has done e-commerce, damn their eyes, not got the final word on it.. but after a chat with the agency guy its pretty much a foregone conclusion, it's kind of frustrating really as the guy at the interview said for mine that the people that followed me had their work cut out.. of course this other guy comes along and pow.. KO, but their is a slim chance of some freelance work.../sigh really really really want a FT job, done this for a year now.. and it is wearing pretty thin, the work I had last has gone, so will have to see if they want me freelance.. but that would be very sparodic.. as they cannot really afford much... its all generally looking a bit pants.

Well my contract doing graphic design has finally come to an end, 6 months.. just like that.. although I do have some contract work left, as well as some other stuff from the same company I just finished with.. although now they will have to pay a little more.. due to it being more infrequent etc.
All this leads to the big day on Thursday.. going for a job interview for a full time graphics job.. so fingers crossed for me everyone :O

Well.. found out the level of work I have from the company I am currently doing work with will be.. as and when, so pretty much a self employed scenario, it was kind of a disappointment.. I was hoping for at least part time, alas the money they have available plus the work they can give me would not support it, so looks like I am going to have to really knuckle down and get some work sorted, I can't last very long I think self employed without extra work coming in.

way wrong, ok so the headish guy for the company I am doing some work for has pretty much said when my contract is up I have work. . etc etc.. you know all that.. but now.. I get a phone call.. a job I apply for on a whim.. hey why not K8 says.. and she is right.. why not.. its a nice amount of money.. its in the right ish field.. it is definatly not beyond my abilities (witness the flexing of my manly graphic muscles) and what happens.. the agency its going through has shown interest.. they are passing on my CV.. so from not being wanted to maybe being over wanted.. this is something I should celebrate.. not panic about. I just don't like dissapointing people really. I have commitments yet to meet later on, so that still has to happen.. and this may well cause an issue.. just like it has caused an issue for me potentially going to Hong Kong for hols... not exactly hols.. K8 is off there to work.. and she made comment of me going as well.. but I treat it as a visit. But work may well get in the way of it all.. /sigh.. but I should not begrudge getting more money.. and more experience... although HK is one experience I want at some point.. as well as Japan.. and of course Canada/America.. if only to give my bestest b'day buddy a huge hug (hope she survives it).



so thats it atm.. guess I will keep you up to date.. whoever you are
