Welcome, one and all. This is CWN, a community of members of a forum, who are embarking on a major group project for the first time: writing a book of short stories, and creating a calendar. The members of our forum are writers and artists, and we’re planning to publish our projects with the POD (Print On Demand) publisher, Lulu, hopefully by next January. We're going to be donating profits we make to charity. We're not actually based on LJ, we're from another forum, and it is a forum project. At the moment we're not looking for new authors or new artists. But we'd love it if you'd watch us, ask us questions, and so forth, and we'll be very flattered if you are interested in us!

*waves* Hello! I’m the admin. :) As such, everyone seems to have a lot of questions for me. What will our theme be? Well, we're not sure yet. How many authors are involved? Again, not sure! Right now, everything is a big 'not sure', except for the fact that we are sure we’re going to have fun with this, working together to plot, plan, critique and edit, and learn things we never knew before. :)

We'll also be picking a charity (which one? We’re not sure yet!), because we're going to be donating most/all of the profits we make in the first year after publication to a charity of some sort. Then next year, we'll hopefully do another book and switch our donations to another deserving charity, to which any incoming profits from both books will go. Hence CWN- Writing Ninjas. We're there, we're gone! Also the writing will be one big 'ninja' effort- quick, decisive, and coordinated.

As you can see, We're still working out the details of this ambitious project, but our intentions are good! The most important part, of course, will be the fun and experience, and no matter how things go those are two things we’re guaranteed to come out of this adventure with. :)

While all this is happening, feel free to follow our progress through this community! As the project goes on, we’ll be reporting on new developments and sharing the things we’ve learned.
