Two research hypotheses were formulated in furtherance of the study; Child abuse has no significant effects on pupils' assessment grades and academic performance; Child abuse has no significant effects on pupils' participation in-class activities and academic performance. The study used the survey design and the population of the study was the public Basic schools identified in Sunyani Municipality. Twenty basic schools in the Sunyani Municipality were selected by simple random sampling technique for the study. Data were collected through the use of questionnaire. The researcher selected 1,000 pupils who constituted 3.35% the total number of pupils, and 100 teachers who constituted 6.36% of the total number of teachers; making a total of 1,100 respondents, of which 213 pupils constitute 24.9%, between the ages of 3-6 years, 334 pupils constitute 39.0%, between the ages of 7-10 years, 310 pupils who constitute 36.2%, were between the ages of 11 years and above, while 509 pupils who constitute 59.4% are male, and 348 respondents who constitute 40.6% where female. The findings of the study shows that child abuse has significant effects on pupils' participation in class, pupils' assessment grades and academic performance. The study recommends that a child should not be disciplined when the adult's anger is out of control. The effects of child abuse on children's classroom behavior and later academic performance should receive attention in education policy forums; and that parents should always
relate to their children with love and affection and provide for their needs.

Education plays an important role in the development of a country. If a country does not have proper education, it may be left behind by other
countries which support education. There are many factors that affect the education system. Culture, technology, and economical matters give much impact to the education system of a country. The regulation made by the government affects how the education system works in a country. The education system in Nigeria and Ghana still uses the one-way communication. The teachers stand in front of the class and explain all the materials, while the students just sit down on their seats and listen to the teachers. One-way communication has negative effects on the students. They become unconfident to share their opinions or even ask a question. The government should improve this education to a better one. Two-way communication is considered as a better way in teaching method. The development of technology contributes much impact on the education. It can be very useful for many people to get the education. Education is essential in human’s life. As time goes by, system of education changes dynamically following the
needs of human beings. (A. P. J. Abdul Kalam) almost half of the population of the world lives in rural regions and mostly in a state of lower education. Such inequalities in human development have been one of the primary reasons for unrest and, in some parts of the world, even violence.

and due to the pro-active and unabated quantum of youngster’s physiological transition and contextual
influences during adolescence development. This paper shows the environmental cues and detailed description
of topics that have dominated recent research, including the meaning of adolescence, preadolescence, social,
the mental and emotional development of the adolescent child, adolescent problem-solving behaviour (skills),
parent-adolescent relations, puberty, the development of the self, and peer relations. We then identify and
elaborate on what seem to us to be the most important new directions that have come to the fore in the last
decade, including research on the strange and significant interests of adolescents (be it recreational, religious
or influential interests), their developmental tasks and contextual influences on development, genetic
behaviours that passed on through their family lineage, and some intellectual developments, they undergo
(together with the time span at which this intelligence level (IQ) of every single adolescent can be developed).
We go further to briefly explain the problems that result from some of the physical deviations that occur during
the adolescence period (changes) and how we can help to make these deviations suit us or our children
properly. We also expound on the need for adolescents to take up leadership positions or roles and the merits
and demerits of associating with friends (and also the type of friends to keep). We draw the curtains down with
a well knowledgeable summary that briefly outlines everything discussed in the chapters plus some solutions
to help curb some of the problems adolescents are challenged with.
