Elizabeth Elwell-Cook

Fashion historian, curator, experimental archaeologist, public educator and conservator with twenty years' experience as a costume maker for museums, reenactment, stage and screen. Bess is currently tracing the history and design of uniforms for the Girl Guide Movement in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, using extant garments, archival material, forensics and reconstruction, and planning her PhD. Other interests include the cut and construction of 14th and 15th Century mens fashions, and Elizabethan costume.
