ALL ABOUT AKEMI
AKEMI, the Fashion Committee of the Business Entertainment Association, strives to redefine business fashion while championing sustainable, student-driven design within the UCLA community. Business attire is often rigid and uninspired, but we believe in merging creativity with professionalism in a way that is ethical, innovative, and locally driven. By utilizing the talents of UCLA students and collaborating with Los Angeles-based businesses, we provide emerging student designers with opportunities to showcase their work while ensuring environmentally conscious production methods through our end-of-year student exhibition, which will feature our produced designs in addition to giving other fashion-forward clubs on campus a space to promote their own activities.
Our mission is to foster a community where artistry, business, and sustainability coexist, empowering students to shape the future of fashion responsibly. Your donation directly supports student designers, environmentally ethical craftsmanship, and a movement toward a more sustainable fashion industry.
