Then I decide that I&#39;ll add pics of my vacation. &nbsp;BIG MISTAKE!<br \/>FIrst I clicked the &quot;camera&quot; icon... in error. I cancelled and got back to my post. All is well. Then I clicked the &quot;picture&quot; icon and I was asked to allow LJ to access my photos, I clicked &quot;OK&quot;. And....... POOF! I&#39;m suddenly logged out of LJ altogether! &nbsp;No worries, I figure when I re-open and click on post to your journal, I&#39;ll get the usual &quot;Restore your previous draft?&quot; like we used to get when a post was started and never actually posted. &nbsp;Nope! &nbsp;Nada... nothing... it&#39;s gone. &nbsp;*grrrrrrrr*<br \/><i> <br \/>AND THIS WHY I STOPPED POSTING REGULARLY ON LJ... <\/i>every time I was accessing LJ from my iPad, which is more convenient when sitting on the couch at night, all sorts of issues would happen and I simply gave up. So now, since April, it&#39;s been a free for all. The freaking market is saturated with listings, Vendors are at the mercy of Buyers, and the latter are taking their sweet time! &nbsp;Result? &nbsp;I&#39;m still going around in circles, but once in a while a deal is struck. &nbsp;I spent all of 2013 doing the same but to no avail. At leat this year, I&#39;m getting some reward for my efforts.<br \/><br \/>Big news on the family front: &nbsp;eldest son proposed to his girl and she accepted! &nbsp;Looks like I will have a DIL by July 18th 2015.<br \/>Not only that, they decided they want to build their own house, instead of buying a resale. They&#39;ve put a deposit on a piece of land and hope to have a house by Christmas this year. &nbsp;It&#39;s going to be rock n&#39; roll until then. <br \/><br \/>Youngest is still trying to land his first helicopter job. He&#39;s come to terms that he&#39;ll have to do ANYTHING to get in the door, which is really a major step forward in his quest. Now if he can only get hired.  <br \/><br \/>On the fandom side of things, I haven&#39;t read fic in I don&#39;t know how long... I&#39;ve been slack on the PG. &nbsp;I managed to read only 1 book this year. How sad is that. I&#39;m addicted to <b>GOT<\/b> (2 yrs after everyone else, but I&#39;m all caught up) and <b>OITNB<\/b> is my favorite new show! I&#39;d started when I caught some eps on YouTube, but soon the links were taken down. I hadn&#39;t seen an ep since last year, but a recent subscription to Netflix reacquainted me with the series. I&#39;m up to date already. &nbsp;Great show. Love it. On all levels: shopping for gifts (some I couldn&#39;t find, others I never had time to), sending cards out (I missed some ppl), entertaining family (I actually forgot some dishes I had planned), just getting around to posting here! &nbsp;Not even a Christmas post!!!<br \/><br \/>I did however manage to hop over the pond one weekend to go pick up my MIL and bring her back home to spend the Holidays with us. I also managed to attend 3 different office parties, 1 going-away party all in the same week, before Christmas. &nbsp;I don&#39;t feel very accomplished and I just hate falling short.<br \/><br \/>So for next year, I am already intent on making a resolution to achieve a better work-life balance. I can&#39;t forever be running around and never feeling that I have any time to do what I want. I&#39;m growing tired of asking or wishing for more time!!! &nbsp;I&#39;ll just try to better manage the time I&#39;ve got - which will mean letting go of my perfectionnistic (is that even a word?) tendencies. &nbsp;Like the hubster says: 80-20 is good enough.
