It provides a comprehensive analysis of archaeological investigations conducted in the IHR and highlights the importance of systematic documentation, conservation, and promotion of archaeological sites across the region. These sites have often been explored in isolation and not been examined from the perspective of a unified One Himalaya approach. This paper explores the unique significance of borderland areas in relation to their archaeological sites and shared heritage. It proposes suggestions and strategies to enhance the study and promotion of Borderland Archaeology, outlining potential outcomes for national identity, integrity, and shared heritage.
