HOTASS LAWYERS! CAPTAIN HO(T)ASS AND FRIENDS!
1. These are the fannish things I enjoy most in the universe right now: Leverage (I haven't seen this week's yet!), Suits and Torchwood. Also, Pretty Little Liars, True Blood and White Collar. Also
greenet is making me watch Teen Wolf. Because she's evil. And apparently it gets not bad at some point.
2. Leverage continues to be my favourite (though I haven't seen this week's yet)! &everybody;
3. Now, let's talk about Suits. This is a show about emotionally distant hotass lawyer Harvey and how he falls head over the heels for young but brilliant screw-up Mike and somehow decides to My Fair Lady Mike, so he will be a hotass lawyer with him. On their journey together, Harvey learns to have feeeeeeeelings and Mike learns how to be awesome like Harvey.
- It is an awesome show.
- Mostly it's a show about Harvey being hilarious and hotass. Seriously. Gabriel Macht is like you took s1 Heroes Adrian Pasdar, mixed in some Don Draper and every other hot dude in the universe and made handsome soup. I want to go to there. (I was going to continue with the soup metaphor but it would have gone a bit graphic and/or gross in the next sentence.)
- Ok, so the show is really about Mike. Mike has eidetic memory and through a lifetime of terrible decisions, tragically losing his parents and being raised by his elderly nana and a horrible best friend (this is what happens to geniuses who don't have Gusses to look out for them!), he's a loser who takes exams for other people. While couriering a case of drugs (for his Terrible Best Friend!) to what ends up being a police sting, he happens upon Harvey interviewing Harvard douchebags for a new associate position at his firm. Mike did pass the bar that one time and - like I said - Harvey kind of falls in love with him, so he becomes Harvey's associate. But being a lawyer, especially is a fake-lawyer, is really hard work, so wackiness, shenanigans and slashy goodness ensues.
- If Mike is a very, very, very good boy, he may get a fist bump, as evidenced here:

That is also how I will feel about you if you watch the show.
- Also, Gina Torres is on this show, being Harvey's own, uh, Harvey. She is their boss and also very, very attractive and smart.
- You know, truth is that I might not even need the slash for this show. It is tangible, basically, so I like it very much, but it hits the emotional kinks I very much enjoy. Harvey is a secret carer! Mike is a woobie! Together they make sweet, sweet lov-- no, ok, apparently I cannot separate the two.
What I'm trying to say is: I LOVE THIS SHOW AND THIS NEEDS TO BE A GIANT FANDOM NOW.
4. Torchwood is back!
- Gosh, there's lighting and money in this production. Yay!
- I didn't know I had missed Captain Jack Harkness as much as I did until he was there, getting his hello/flirt on. My god, Jack Harkness, you are the best. (By the time this season is over, I will also have said: "my god, Jack Harkness, you are the worst" because our Captain Jack is always the best and the worst.
- Esther is adorable. I can't wait to see more of her!
- HAI GWEN I MISSED YOUUUU. Hi adorable baby! Gwen, the responsible parent, puts earmuff things on her baby so she can better shoot a giant gun next to her. Awwww! ♥
- I am not feeling the Mekhi character yet. Rex seems very ... brash and rash and car crash in action. I do like the idea of Jack not being in charge and working under somebody else. I assume Rex is less of a dick - or more of an entertaining dick - when he's not completely on drugs / in terrible pain. He is a smart one, having figured out that he's probably going to die when everything is back to normal.
- I am liking the Lady Doctor. She's awesome.
- Jack, please don't ever die. Even if you can. You're not allowed. Not ever. Or The Doctor will be really, really sad.
- Bill Pullman is apparently a really good actor because there's not even a trace of the President in him. And he's just so creeptastic. The living god defense made me laugh even though that's terrible.
