The NYTimes ran an article on 25 "essential" NYC restaurant dishes
I went to the comments to point out that they inexplicably forgot the North Shore's Sri Lankan nexus in their list of dishes, only to find that somebody had already beat me to it. Four somebodies, in fact, which if you ask me is even more of an honor than being mentioned in the article proper.
None of them, judging by the usernames, appear to be Sri Lankan. Welp, I'm not either. But man, our local Sri Lankan restaurants make good food.
