
Giulio D'Angelo
Giulio D’Angelo received a diploma in Flute under the guidance of Roberto Fabbriciani (Conservatorio G. Nicolini, Piacenza). He graduated ‘cum laude’ in Musicology from University Cà Foscari, Venice and completed a doctorate on research (Ph.D.) of “the choices of text for Italian vocal chamber music compositions of the 19th century” (summa cum laude) at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest.
At present he is Professor of History of music at Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Tartini in Triest (Italy).
Recently along with Paolo Troian, he has published Giuseppe Verdi La musica vocale da camera
nelle prime edizioni at Editori Forni in Bologna.
He has created a website totally dedicated to Salvatore Sciarrino, which for its easy accessibility and completeness has been highly appreciated by scholars, senior critics and experts of contemporary music.
He lives in Budapest and pursues most of his artistic and research activities in Hungary.
He worked as a consultant for the International Opera Festival of Miskolc for two years and for twenty years he was managing the Italian office of the Sziget Festival, the biggest cultural event for young people in Europe.
