Featured Member
Patty Kuderer, Commissioner
Patty Kuderer was elected in 2024 as Washington’s ninth insurance commissioner. Commissioner Kuderer previously spent almost a decade in the Washington State Legislature, serving in the both the state House and Senate. She has extensive legal experience including as a former city attorney and in private practice. At the NAIC, she currently serves as vice chair of the Western Zone, which also gives her a seat on the Executive (EX) Committee. She will also be serving as chair of the newly appointed Child Care Insurance (C) Working Group. Commissioner Kuderer earned a law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Minnesota.
