Ana Clara Sisul
I am a postgraduate student, specializing in classics, specifically latin literature, at the Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS) in Argentina. My doctoral research focused on Virgil's Aeneid (in detail, the topic of mors immatura). Nowadays I am working on the world of virgilian christian centos. I have published some articles in Argentinian as well as international journals. I have worked as an assistant teaching Latin during three semesters at UNS, as well as other classical-related subjects. Other than Spanish, I am proficient in English, French, and German, and fluent in Italian and modern Greek.
I had a Humboldt-scholarship for postdocs and spent a year (2022-2023) researching intertextual triangulations in the Cento Probae at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen (Germany).
Supervisors: María Luisa La Fico Guzzo and Marcos Carmignani
Address: 12 de Octubre y San Juan, Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina

centonist constructs this passage with hemistichs and verses coming from extremely violent Virgilian scenes. This intertextual dynamic, based in the accentuation of differences, rather than similarities, creates a tension within the cento, that serves to emphasize its ultimate alternate nature as alter ab illo.
concept of work as a means of salvation, akin to the spirit of the subtext. The aim of this article is to prove how the cento operates in order to achieve this strategy, from a philological and intertextual framework.
El tema del trabajo posee como marco las figuras de Ícaro y Marcelo, extremos del canto sexto de la Eneida, cuyo destino, marcado por dos transgresiones distintas, prefigura el del resto de los jóvenes de la obra, hasta llegar a Turno.
