Tuesday June 9 to Friday June 12 in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario
Graphics Interface (GI) is the only annual international conference spanning computer graphics, information visualization, and human-computer interaction. Established in 1969, GI is the longest-running venue in the field and is sponsored by the non-profit organization Canadian Human-Computer Communications Society (CHCCS) / Société canadienne du dialogue humain-machine (SCDHM), giving the conference a strong Canadian connection and a global presence. With its intimate setting, GI fosters genuine exchange between academic and industry researchers through papers, invited talks, workshops, courses, posters and demos, along with social events designed to spark conversation.
GI 2026 will be held on the University of Waterloo campus in Canada’s tech hub, Kitchener-Waterloo. Historically known for insurance, manufacturing, and Oktoberfest, the region is now one of the world’s fastest growing technology centers, with the second highest start-up density after Silicon Valley.
Participation
Join us at GI 2026 for three and a half days of presentations, discussion, and connection across graphics, visualization, and HCI. The conference will begin with an evening poster and demo reception, followed by three full days of technical papers, invited talks, more workshops, panels, and networking events. Whether you’re presenting new research, organizing a workshop, or attending to connect with others in the field, GI offers an intimate, focused environment for sharing ideas and building collaborations.
