We were in the lab.
The equipment wasn’t.

Our founder was running stroke studies when the problem became obvious. Post-stroke mice couldn’t move through standard behavioral apparatus. Obese mice physically didn’t fit into off-the-shelf Y-mazes. Every vendor said the same thing: “we don’t customize.”

So we built our own. Not a factory — a new kind of manufacturing. Scientific manufacturing. Every build matches the published method exactly, so when one lab publishes results, any lab in the world can order the same equipment and replicate the study.

That was 15 years ago. Today we serve 1,600+ institutions across 50 countries — still building one protocol at a time.

SCIENTIST-OWNED

The person who answers your call has run the same protocol.

ConductScience is family-run. Every person in leadership holds an MD or PhD. When you call about a modified Barnes maze for post-stroke mice with limited mobility, you’re not explaining what a Barnes maze is. There are no sales reps. No account managers. No departments to route through. The scientist you’re talking to is the one who decides.

2018

We built the first software bridge from optogenetics to behavioral mazes.

Nature called them “the mazes with minds of their own.” We connected light-activated neural control directly to automated maze environments — letting researchers trigger and measure behavior in the same system, in real time.

Today we’re bringing AI and machine learning to behavioral analysis with ConductVision — because the tools should be as advanced as the science.

SCIENTIFIC MANUFACTURING

Custom work isn’t extra.
It’s the whole point.

Traditional manufacturers optimize for scale — producing thousands of identical units. We optimize for accuracy. Every build is made to match a specific methodology, so results hold up when another lab tries to reproduce them.

  • CNC-machined components, ±0.1mm tolerance
  • Every build matches the published method — so results replicate across labs
  • In-house quality inspection before every shipment
  • Custom modifications are the default, not a surcharge
  • Materials selected for durability and chemical resistance

TECH TRANSFER

From your lab bench to the world.

We partner with researchers to turn novel apparatus into products other labs can buy. You designed it. You published it. We manufacture it to your exact specs — so every lab that orders it is running the same study you ran.

Learn About Tech Transfer →
1 You design the apparatus and publish
2 We engineer it for reproducible manufacturing
3 Labs worldwide order your exact design
4 Your methodology spreads. Science replicates.
