My name is Kristin Dahl. I’m a mother, dog-lover, and computer scientist with a background in software engineering, security, and data systems. Right now, I lead the Field Cybersecurity Practice at a tech startup where I help some of the world’s largest organizations tackle complex security challenges at scale.
Previously, I worked in the defense sector and was an applied research scientist at an FFRDC.
Lately, my focus has shifted toward the intersection of cybersecurity and AI. I’m especially interested in how large language models and agentic systems are changing the way we think about threat detection, investigation, and response.
What keeps me excited:
– Applying LLMs to automate and enrich threat investigations
– Designing AI-native architectures that go beyond dashboards
– Exploring how complex systems theory can inform better security design
If you’re building in this space or navigating similar challenges, I’d love to connect!
