  • Show swap information:
    swapon
  • Enable a given swap area:
    swapon path/to/file
  • Enable all swap areas specified in `/etc/fstab` except those with the `noauto` option:
    swapon --all
  • Enable a swap partition by its label:
    swapon -L label
