  • Convert an SGI image to a PNM file:
    sgitopnm path/to/input.sgi > path/to/output.pnm
  • Display information about the SGI file:
    sgitopnm -verbose path/to/input.sgi > path/to/output.pnm
  • Extract channel n of the SGI file:
    sgitopnm -channel n path/to/input.sgi > path/to/output.pnm
