  • Compile a PDF document:
    pdftex source.tex
  • Compile a PDF document, specifying an output directory:
    pdftex -output-directory=path/to/directory source.tex
  • Compile a PDF document, exiting on each error:
    pdftex -halt-on-error source.tex
