History of Comedy

This blog is about

a) Literary History of comedy in the Old Empire in 17th and 18th century (German adaptations and German original plays)

b) Digitally assisted analysis of drama and documents of performances with the aim to provide new insights in dramatical texts and the history of drama. This comprises preliminary steps like digitization, caption of metadata and electronic edition as well as the analysis of metadata and, of course, dramatic texts. Methods for close reading are as interesting as insights in patterns of large amounts of texts. All findings shall serve  to enlarge and improve my knowledge about a).
