VERA is opened to anyone who has an interest in citizen science and wants to participate in a participatory research. Like Hypotheses, the service is free and open to the public and to the users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COESO develops this platform to enhance support to participatory research in the social sciences and humanities fields. Users can add widgets to different areas of their blog, such as a website&#8217;s sidebars or footer areas. Widgets add a feature or function to the blog, without having to write any code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hypotheses.org is adjusting the free software WordPress to the academic blogging context and it involves adding new plugins and widgets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WordPress\">WordPress<\/a>, the free software underlying Hypotheses, offers a number of features that go far beyond just editing an article or a page. These features, which you can choose whether or not to activate on your blog, are displayed as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Software_widget\">widgets<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, these functionalities offered by WordPress are not sufficient to meet the requirements of varied editorial practices \u2013 especially in the context of academic blogging \u2013 and we offer you additional tools to enrich your publications. These tools are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Plug-in_(computing)\">plugins<\/a>, which we deploy regularly and according to your needs on Hypotheses.
