Restrict Products
Restrict Products
- The Restrict Products feature allows products to be accessible only to users with a specific rank or badge.
Please Note: This feature requires the WooCommerce Add-on to be activated. You can enable it by navigating to Admin Dashboard > myCred > Add-ons.
Back-End Settings
- Go to the Admin Dashboard > myCred > WooCommerce.
- Navigate to the Restrict Products section.
- Under the Restrict Products section, the admin can restrict access to specific products and categories.
- Enable the Specific Product and Specific Category toggle buttons.
- Once done, click the Update button.
Specific Product
Please Note: For this feature to function, the Badges and Ranks add-ons must be activated. You can enable them by navigating to Admin Dashboard > myCred > Add-ons.
- Specific product restrictions can be applied based on ranks and badges. In this case, we will restrict the product based on Badges
- Navigate to the Admin Dashboard > Products > All Products.
- Add or Edit a product.
- Enable the Restrict Product toggle button.
- Once enabled, select the rank or badge from the Select Based On dropdown menu. In this case, we have chosen Badge.
- Next, select the badge so that the product will only be visible to users with the enabled badges.
- Once done, click the Update button.
Specific Category
Please Note: For this feature to function, the Badges and Ranks add-ons must be activated. You can enable them by navigating to Admin Dashboard > myCred > Add-ons.
- Specific category restrictions can be applied based on ranks and badges. In this case, we will restrict the category based on Badges.
- Navigate to the Admin Dashboard > myCred > Badges.
- Add or Edit a badge.
- Scroll to the Display Products from Categories by Badges option and add the desired categories.
Front-End Impact
Specific Product
- Go to the website.
- Log in to the user account that has earned the badge.
- Navigate to the Shop page.
Before
- As you can see, the restricted product is inaccessible to users who have not earned the specific badge configured in the backend settings.
After
- As you can see, the restricted product is only accessible to the user who has earned the specific badge configured in the backend settings.
Specific Category
- Go to the website.
- Log in to the user account that has earned the badge.
- Navigate to the Shop page.
Before
- As you can see, the restricted category products are inaccessible to users who have not earned the specific badge configured in the backend settings.
After
- As you can see, the restricted category products are only accessible to the user who has earned the specific badge configured in the backend settings.
Note: The Hoodie with Zipper belongs to the Hoodies category, while the T-shirt with Logo belongs to the Accessories category.
