WordPress 4.9.6 added a few tools to help you creating and displaying a privacy policy or assist with requests for exporting/erasing personal data.
Depending on your location or type of install (the tools may not be suitable for Multisite or large networks), you may have already taken measures to comply with existing privacy laws or/and you do not need them at all.
With this plugin, all the new admin screens will be disabled to prevent cluttering your admin with more unused items. It also prevents showing you the feature pointer if you install this plugin before the update.

I’m just glad I didn’t have to build another plugin to disable core features. So, thanks for saving me some time. 🙂
Thank you for releasing this plugin, Dominik!
I think the whole Privacy Tools thing is plugin territory to begin with, but that’s probably a whole different story/discussion.
Anyways, thank you for coming with this counter measure, to give people free choice again 🙂
Cheers,
Pieter
Nice & Easy.
BTW, as of today (WP 4.9.6 RC1), when the Privacy Tool erases a person’s private data in comments, it changes the commentors name to Anonymous, which is fine, but it puts a link to it which points to https://site.invalid, which will result in a bunch of broken link, which of course Google will dearly punish you for all the broken links.
