CMB.TECH is taking concrete steps towards green power generation for temporary energy supply. The Volvo Penta TADH880-882GE series and the Volvo Penta TADH880-884VE series of D8 engines can run on a fuel mix of diesel/HVO and hydrogen when equipped with a CMB.TECH hydrogen kit.
Designed to combine reliability & performance with a drastic reduction of tailpipe CO₂ emissions, the CMB.TECH hydrogen kit injects hydrogen to replace part of the diesel consumption. This solution is flexible and can be activated when hydrogen supply is available. The original engine underwent minimal changes, allowing capitalisation on proven technology, resulting in high emissions reduction for low investment costs.
