I'm a huge True Blood fan, and in this month of Halloween It's high time that I made a rec list for my favourite vids of the most insane vamp show on TV and internet.

(A note about the NSFW warning: This is True Blood, and I don't remember what's exactly in each vid, so even those not marked with NSFW might have surprise nudity.)

I'll start with the three essentials that all True Blood fans have probably already seen by now:

Da Bomb by dreamrequiem is a very fun, slightly cracky Jason and Lafayette vid (possibly Jason/Lafayette. It's funny and simply fun to watch.

All Is Full Of Love by obsessive24
These two are Eric/Godric vids that in my opinion should be watched back to back. With the little footage of Godric they had these two vidders created two amazing, and very different vids. I'm gonna have to use Merlin terminology and say that they are two sides of the same coin. Capital G is fast paced character study, and has a very clear narrative Eric point of view, and on the flip side, All is Full of Love weaves lot of external footage into an atmospheric message from Godric.

I'll use the vidder's notes for this: This by turns is a character study of Sookie during season three, a salute to the werewolf culture of True Blood, and an exploration of how awesome Sookie would be with one of her non-Bill suitors. It's also a rollicking good time set to a ridiculous pop song.

Eric is danger and death wrapped in a seductive package, Sookie knows this. A shipper vid that acknowledges the twisted nature of this ship.

A vid featuring Eric and Pam's relationship all the way through seaon 3. Through a very strange incongruous combination of True Blood footage to a playful, innocent sounding song it brings across True Blood's combination of darkness, humour, and sweet character moments very well. Contains some NSFW footage.

Bad fan art
The objective was to make fan art that was objectionable in some way, whether through concept or execution. The participants gleefully committed horrific crimes against fandom in the form of bad manips, sparkles, hearts, unicorns, Angel and Spike's heads pasted on on things I never want to see again, a clunky comic, a wonderfully naive mary-sue creation, and colour selections that would nauseate. I tied for fourth place.
