The article is devoted to modern reconfigurations of the literary process and literature (as a ki... more The article is devoted to modern reconfigurations of the literary process and literature (as a kind of art), experienced in literary criticism as the decline of literature (the thesis "we have no literature" as a state� ment of the degradation of an art form). The article provides an overview of reflection on this process on Russian "thick journals" (with the emphasis on the position of the well�known Russian critic Anna Kuznetsova), as well as the author's view on the general transitional state of Russian modern literature.

Исследование посвящено теоретическим аспектам дискурс-анализа в условиях постоянного развития и и... more Исследование посвящено теоретическим аспектам дискурс-анализа в условиях постоянного развития и изменения технологий коммуникации. Основная цель исследованияустранить возникший в научном знании разрыв между потребностями системного анализа современных мультимодальных медиафеноменов и ограниченностью возможностей дискурсанализа, преимущественно приспособленного к анализу текстовой информации. Исследование проведено в области медиаэстетики, открывающей перспективу применения методов и приемов, заимствованных из области эстетики, в анализе нестабильных элементов современного коммуникационного пространства. На основании изучения ряда прикладных идей (особенно в области рецептивной эстетики) автор предлагает включить в алгоритмы дискурс-анализа медиаэстетический подход, позволяющий выявлять и интерпретировать параметры такого неучтенного ранее фактора контекста, как «атмосфера».

В статье рассматривается конфликт нарастающих в СМИ явлений с миссией журналистики. Дан обзор возможных подходов к исследованию этих процессов. Сформулирована мысль о неизбежности институционального пересмотра миссии и роли отечественной журналистики. Mediaesthetic approach can be a very useful and successful tool for creative writing courses. Thi... more Mediaesthetic approach can be a very useful and successful tool for creative writing courses. This article introduces mediaesthetic components specific to a particular educational task but this approach can be applied to other courses as a universal principle. The case study, showed in this paper, is devoted to students' activity during an 18-weeks course of creative writing, in which mediaesthetic components were integrated. The investigation question was: How can mediaesthetic components influence the students' activity? The hypothesis ("the mediaesthetic component will increase students' involvement in the educational process and impact their success") was confirmed. The methods of integrating mediaesthetic components in the course logics are described and discussed (variable mediaesthetic objects as information, inspiration, provocation-generating tools and their advantages and limitations).

The article examines reading habits of teenagers in the era of leisure and online-expansion, and ... more The article examines reading habits of teenagers in the era of leisure and online-expansion, and the future of books. It considers reading interest of children living in well-equipped ‘media-rich homes’ and their dependence on reading. Author also analyses correlation between presence of a library at adolescents’ homes, reading habits and Internet activity. The study is based on a survey of 10–11-year olds from large and smaller cities of the Urals Federal District. To verify conclusions, the author compares her data with other studies performed on adolescents’ leisure and their online activities. Key findings are: students who have the habit of reading have very specific Internet activity features; that reading today is not related to the problem of teenager’s home media equipment and majority of children who choose book reading as their main leisure have home libraries. In addition, research revealed deficiency in the field of exploration of contemporary forms of reading (such as e-reading).

В статье рассматривается коллизия, возникшая между базовыми принципами качественной журналистики,... more В статье рассматривается коллизия, возникшая между базовыми принципами качественной журналистики, восходящими к так называемой нормативной теории, и коммуникативной ситуацией каждого отдельно взятого национального поля, создающей барьеры в реализации этих базовых принципов. Автор полагает, что невнимание к культурным кодам порождает разрыв между журналистикой и аудиторией. Ключевые слова: нормативная теория, культурные измерения, социокультур ные коды, национальные типы коммуникации, индегенизация, девестернизация. Zagidullina M. V. Universal principles of journalism vs. national cultural codes The article deals with the conflict that arose between the basic principles of quality journalism (linked with the so called normative theory) and the communicative situation of each individual national field. This conflict generates a barrier to the implementation of these basic principles. The author believes that ignoring of the cultural codes might create a gap between journalism and the audience.
