Wut?

It would be April Fool's that I post. Just checking in to say hello! And that I'm around. And that I'm going to NY Comicon, so if anyone else on my F list is going, I'd love to meet up with people. It's my first time going, so that would be cool. I would post a picture of my hair, and how it's gotten out of control long - but I'm getting it cut in an hour and a half. Maybe I'll take a picture of this historic feet before it goes away.

Kisses to you all, and any votes on me coloring my hair? I've been thinking about it, just for fun. I love my black hair, but I was thinking about going light brown, just to see how it would look. Thoughts?

Haven't been around in a while! I'm still around, albeit a bit scattered here and there. Over the hols I'm going to make an attempt to catch up on LJ. I haven't been reading regularly AT ALL, and for that I'm sorry. I've missed a few important birthdays! So an inexcusably late happy birthday to profstark. I hope you had a good one, and may you have many more even better still!

Waiting to hear back on a couple of jobs. Both are very good, though I would prefer one infinitely over the other. Wish me luck! Also, I'm back with new icons, because my old ones hadn't been updated in years. Besides my default one, which will always be my default one. Which one am I, the snake, the apple, or the tree that both nest in? SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT!

Just a quick update

As some of you know, I've been pretty sick the last few weeks. My doctor called late Friday to tell me that I had mono, and a pretty bad case of it. Last night I was in the ER, my tonsils had grown exponentially. So we're keeping a watch on that. They've got me on liquid hydrocodone and naprosin, because I can't swallow any pills. I've also lost my voice. I'm on complete bedrest for a month, meaning I can't start my new job. I don't know yet if they'll even hold it for me. Thanks to those of you with birthday wishes.

I'll be home in bed for the next month, although I probably wont' be answering the phone, considering it hurts to breathe, at this point. Just thought you might all like to know.

A summation of my life’s events in the past two weeks is thus: WTF.

I’ve gone from being a sick little baby to a surprisingly healthy one. I haven’t had too many stomach problems, the new stuff I’m doing seems to be working out well. I also have fallen into the mindset of a thirteen year old girl when it comes to gentleman callers. I’ve realized that I’m probably much more shy than I thought. Or, more blunt. Either way, the whole flirting game isn’t for me. I’d much rather just say “I think you are attractive, and I would like to speak with you for extended periods of time, possibly while enjoying food, and then maybe some sex afterwards.”

You can see where this method may not exactly work as I’d like it to.

So, I’ve generally turned into a gibbering idiot, while attempting to make lame conversation, and getting my blood pressure up.

Other than that – I’m still working at my job, still occasionally checking up on my fandoms, although that’s becoming less and less frequent, and more and more hilarious.
