We have started to collaborate with RUth, the local association for sustainable mobility in Maputo. The aim is to strengthen our network and to build links with local stakeholders.  In addition, Ruth has asked us to help organise a conference about sustainable mobility in developing countries, planned to be held in September.

There is a lot of work to be done. We hope we will have enough time.

Focus On The Positive

Focus_on_the_PositiveOn May 13th we presented our project at a Focus On The Positive event organised by the UCL Public and Cultural Engagement unit. We had to give a 5 minutes pitch to convince the audience to vote for our chapas project. We won the audience’s heart and were awarded 2000 pounds.

With these 2000 pounds we plan to spend two months in Maputo and finish the creation of a collective transport map.

map evolution

Over time, the idea and the team has grown. In this moment, we are trying to turn it into a research about the roll of informal transport in a desirable context of sustainable mobility in the emerging cities.

The Map is still a aim, but right now is already a research method.
