New Feature Alert: Showcase IDX Supports Sold Data

New

We’re thrilled to announce the highly requested Sold Data feature is now available in our IDX plugin! Here’s a breakdown of how it works:

Data Availability: The availability of Sold Data varies by MLS. We support sold data if an MLS allows it for IDX display. Not seeing sold data on your site? Check with us and/or your MLS to see if it's allowed for IDX feeds.

Display Rules: Some MLSs may have data restrictions, such as prohibiting the display of the sold price, sale date, images. In these cases, our IDX plugin will adjust to comply with the MLS rules and omit any restricted data. We have also added selling agent/office attribution which will appear near the "listed by" disclaimers.

Listing Page Changes: We've updated the listing page to align with MLS-specific display rules, and we’ve removed features that aren’t relevant for sold listings, such as the mortgage calculator and tour request functions.

Data Limitations: Sold data will only include listings from the past 3 years, and it will be displayed separately from active, pending, or under contract listings. You’ll have the option to view only sold listings when you select the “sold” status filter in either the advanced or streamlined interface.

Lead Profiles: Agents will now see listings that their leads have previously viewed, which have since been sold. This is a great way to retain valuable insights and track client interests.

Saved Search Emails: Agents can now set up recommended searches for their leads for sold listings. This is a great way to keep clients informed about the market trends in their area. Leads can also create their own sold listings searches directly on the website.

We hope this new feature provides even more value to your IDX experience! Thank you for your feedback, and we look forward to continuing to improve your plugin experience.

Admin Lead Filter By Agent/User

Previously, admin users could only filter leads by those assigned to themselves or to everyone. Today, we've added the ability for admins to filter leads by specific users in the lead dashboard.

Showcase IDX Plugin Update (Ver. 3.2.12)

The latest version of the Showcase IDX WordPress plugin confirms compatibility with the latest version of WordPress (WordPress 6.6), as well as some performance enhancements.

As a reminder, be sure to update your IDX plugin in WordPress. We encourage you to also enable auto-updates on your IDX plugin to always stay on the current version.

Enhanced Agent/Office Filtering

Improvement

We’re excited to announce an enhancement to our agent/office filterting feature! With this update, we’ve addressed some key usability improvements:

  • Enhanced Display: The agent selection interface now accommodates agent and office IDs in a visible list. This change reduces clutter and makes the interface more user-friendly.
  • Streamlined Filtering: You can continue to select multiple agents from the dropdown menu. To refine your selection, simply unclick any ID in the dropdown to remove it from the filter. This makes managing your ID filtering more intuitive.

Agent and Office ID Case Sensitivity Improvement

Improvement

We’re excited to announce an enhancement to how we handle Agent and Office IDs in our system. Previously, the system required an exact case match for these IDs, which sometimes led to discrepancies when IDs were provided in different cases (e.g., "kw002" vs. "KW002").

The system now ignores case when matching Agent and Office IDs. This means that "kw002," "KW002," "Kw002," and any other case variations will be recognized as the same ID. Listings will now correctly appear under the appropriate Agent or Office ID regardless of the casing used.

This improvement aims to make searching and filtering more seamless and reliable, and reduce support inquiries from customers when their IDs are not producing accurate results.

Product Update – August/September 2024

We’re thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our transition to Constellation Software, Inc.! As part of our ongoing migration since the acquisition in August 2023, we have moved to a new data feed system. Many sites/feeds have been migrated and we are completing the rest in the coming days.

This upgrade brings a host of benefits:

  • Enhanced Data: We can now include Sold data in our feeds (coming Q4/Q1)
  • Dedicated Support: A specialized team will monitor and maintain the new data feed system.
  • Increased Reliability: Enjoy a more dependable feed with updates occurring 5-10 minutes faster than before.
  • Improved Accuracy: Expect fewer issues with feed updates, including no or fewer missing listings or photos, and timely status or MLS data updates.
  • Accurate Days Online: Previously, a listing's time online was based on when our database retrieved the listing from the MLS, which could create a gap between the actual listing date and the displayed date due to feed delays, feed refreshes or migrating to a new feed. Now, we use a field directly from the MLS, ensuring that the days online are always accurate.

In addition to these improvements, we have made the following updates:

  • Alphabetized Features: Features on Listing Detail Pages are now organized for better readability.
  • Expanded Data: Added Room Types and Room Dimensions where available, and expanded Listing Types to include MLS-specific categories such as Real Estate Owned, Auction, and Bankruptcy Property.
  • Enhanced Search: Advanced search now displays feature values as ranges when there were numerous, disorganized values.

Our team has worked diligently to ensure a smooth transition and we’re confident these changes will greatly enhance your experience, and the experience of your consumers.

Please note, while we’ve aimed to closely match data between systems, some broken searches may occur due to changes in feature names, property type names or availability of certain features. Should you find any issues, please email us at [email protected] with supporting documentation.

Fixed Typo in sidx-map-container Div

Improvement

We identified and corrected a typo in our code that affected the sidx-map-container div. Specifically, there was an extraneous ' placed before the class name.

While this typo did not impact the performance or display of the plugin, it did create some challenges for customers attempting to customize this element. We have now removed the extraneous ', and you should no longer encounter any issues related to this.

Improved Facebook Sharing for Listings

Fix

We’ve addressed an issue with how images were being shared to Facebook from our platform. Previously, when listings were shared, the image displayed could sometimes be the smaller version rather than the larger HD image.

With this update, we’ve ensured that the larger, high-definition image is always used when sharing listings to Facebook. This change aligns with Facebook’s recommended image dimensions of at least 600 x 315 px.

Streamlined Search: Individual Removal for Multiple Must-Have Filters

Improvement

Previously, when you selected multiple filters using the Streamlined Search interface, they were grouped together, making it challenging to remove individual selections if needed. Filters are now displayed as separate items, each with its own "X" icon for easy removal. This allows you to adjust your search criteria and correct any mistakes effortlessly.
