3. Our Charitable Purpose

CBN UK exists to advance the Christian faith and carry out charitable activities through media, prayer, education, and community outreach in the UK and internationally.

Donations support our charitable mission and are applied in accordance with Charity Commission guidance.

4. Donations & Fundraising

Voluntary Donations

All donations to CBN UK are voluntary gifts made to support our charitable work. Donations are not conditional on receiving goods or services.

Use of Donations

Unless you specify a particular appeal or purpose, donations will be used for CBN UK’s general charitable purposes. Where a specified appeal has ended or its purpose can no longer be fulfilled, funds will be applied as closely as possible to the original intent.

Ministry Resources

From time to time, we may send supporters free ministry resources (e.g. books, devotionals, prayer materials). These:

Are provided free of charge

Are not conditional on donating

Do not constitute goods or services in return for a donation

Are low-value items that do not affect Gift Aid eligibility

5. Refunds & Cancellations

General Policy

Donations are normally non-refundable, as they are voluntary gifts. However, we will consider refund requests fairly and in line with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice

Face-to-Face Fundraising

If you donated or agreed to a regular gift following a face-to-face interaction with a professional fundraiser, you have a 7-day cooling-off period during which you may cancel and receive a full refund.

Errors & Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be granted where:

A payment was made in error or duplicated

An incorrect amount was charged

Fraud or unauthorised payment occurred

There are compelling personal or financial circumstances

Each request is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Direct Debit Guarantee

If you donate by Direct Debit, you are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, which allows you to cancel at any time and receive a refund in the event of an error.

Gift Aid

If Gift Aid has been claimed on a refunded donation, the Gift Aid amount must be repaid to HMRC. Any refund will therefore be limited to the original donation amount.
