My dad says it’s okay to date my step cousin 💀

My dad recently got a new girlfriend and I’ve met most of her family already, including her niece who is my age. I’m not gonna lie- she is pretty and she is my type, plus she has a pretty good life put together, but I scrapped the idea of being anything more then friends with her because she was my dads girlfriends niece.

My dad then started asking me why I wasn’t making moves on her and I told him that she was my step cousin 💀. He then tried to explain to me that it’s fine to date her because we don’t share blood…

Is this true? Is it not weird or is it a weird thing? 😭 I really am not sure and even if it was normal I don’t know if I could bring myself to date her just because of the fact that she’s my step cousin
