aaaaaaaahhh!!!!

I have mascara stuck on my eyelashes that wont come off!!!

So you see, I have this "Lash Stash" from Sephora that's a box of 10 sample size mascaras. I've been trying them out one by one and this morning I decided to open a new one from the box and try it on.

On the back of the box is some text about each mascara but I neglected to read the back and just chose a random mascara.

Well, turns out the one I picked is called "Tarte - 4 Day Stay Lash Stain" and it will. not. come. off!!!

I tried scrubbing it with water based eye make-up remover and the cotton came back completely clean. Not even a little bit of the mascara came off!! And it didn't even ruin the lashes, they stay completely dry and curled up. I don't have any oil-based remover but I've heard that one might work.

I even took a shower and scrubbed the lashes and came out of the shower like I'd just put on mascara!

*snort*

This is freaking me out. Especially since I wasn't even paying it much attention when I put the mascara on this morning. I would have done a better job of it had I know that it was going to be staying on like that for 4 days!

It will be interesting to see what it will look like in the morning. I don't know how I'll be able to sleep tonight because I never ever go to bed with any make-up on. I think it's gross and so uncomfortable. It's going to bother me a lot, I just know it.

Seriously, this is what my lashes looked like after I'd gotten out of the shower earlier today, and after having scrubbed all of my make-up off with eye make-up remover, only the mascara still staying on like I hadn't even touched it!

Anyways, I have a new video! It's just a haul video. A very rushed one. I had so many things and it's so hard to fit a video inside the 10 minute limit. Gah, I hate that limit! All my videos go around 14 minutes. It's so much work to edit videos to make them shorter.

It's been a productive day! Two videos :D :D

Today is the first day of summer so we have the day off from work. YAY! Amazing. I started my day with recording a video while I was getting ready to go to my grandmothers for lunch. There I got yummy yummy cake that was oh so yummy!

Then once I got home I did another video, the one I'll be posting below and since then I've just been chillin' and relaxing and feeling good :D

So here's another video, this one is slightly different from my previous videos but I like it :P

So Coastal Scents just came out with a new palette, the 88 Metal Mania Palette and I want it SOOOO badly. It's just about the coolest thing ever!

BUT, I have just spent way too much money on make-up recently and I already own three 88 piece palettes from CS, the matte one, the shimmer one and the warm one. I'm absolutely in love with the 88 Warm palette and I'd highly recommend that one to anyone who's interested in getting an amazing variety of colours in very good quality eye shadows for dirt cheap.

But the Metal Mania one looks so perfect. Like, the colours are A-MA-ZING!!!! ( There's even a VIDEO!!Collapse )

I am so tempted to buy it but seriously, I shouldn't! I know I shouldn't! I'm trying to save up money for my studies in London and I need that money. I shouldn't be spending any more on make-up. Especially not eye shadows since I have almost 300 eye shadows already.

I'm thinking that maybe I can get the 88 Metal Mania late June. My brother and his family are coming home from California for a month and they could bring it with them. That way I'll eventually get it and in the mean time I can give my other palettes some well deserved love :P

Anyways, you guys, I'd definitely recommend these Coastal Scents eyeshadow palettes. They are all awesome, you can check them out here. I'd mostly recommend the 88 Warm Palette, I think it's definitely for everyone. The 88 Shimmer one is a lot of fun and has amazing vibrant colours. The matte one is also lovely but I like the shimmer one more.

The palettes are really cheap and they are super good quality and the colours stay on for the whole day and are easy to blend (make sure you put on a primer before though!). Oh and they ship internationally and are really fast! Like, when I shipped to Iceland with the cheapest shipping option, it only took like a week to get to me :D

So, mascaras. I've been on the hunt for the perfect mascara and so far I've not been successful. I have tried everything and I'm never happy! It's a frustrating search.

Lately I've been using Maybelline Colossal, the big yellow one. It's "OK" but not awesome. It's almost finished so I needed to get a new mascara and went to the drugstore. I hardly ever buy the same mascara twice because I'm always looking for something better.

Recently I bought the L'Oreal Double Extend and that one I do not like at all! It makes my eyelashes look stumpy but the worst part is that it's SO much work to get it off!! It takes so much longer than any other mascara I've ever used (and I'm not talking about waterproof mascaras because I never use those). I don't know what it is about this one that makes it so hard to get off, maybe it's the primer side that makes it stick like glue. But whatever it is, my eye make-up remover has a real hard time getting it off. So I've used this mascara like three times or something.


So this time I bought L'Oreal Telescopic in the black casing. I've already tried the silver one and the gold one so now I wanted to try the black one.

I was super excited to try it on but I'm sad to say that it's very disappointing. I'm wearing it right now and it's just not good. It gives me absolute NO thickness. It does lengthen a bit but nothing to be overly excited about. It smudges my eyelashes together so it looks like I have only six really thick lashes. Wha? I tried to comb through the lashes with a clean dry brush afterward but the mascara dried so fast that it was impossible.

I would show you a picture of my lashes right now but I forgot my camera at home (am at work) and the picture is too blurry when I use my phone camera.

Now what I REALLY want to try is the Covergirl Lash Blast. I keep hearing really awesome things about it and I desperately want it. BUT, they don't sell Covergirl in Iceland :-( *sniffles* I've tried buying it online at Ulta but they don't accept my Icelandic credit card. Bleh. I'm going to look for it on Amazon though. Usually that works when I can't buy directly from the maker.

Anyways, this post got a lot longer than I intended. As you might have noticed lately, I've become quite obsessed with make-up. It's pretty much taken over my life now. It's my biggest interest now :P

So I figured I'd try my hand on a make-up blog entry. Maybe I'll do more of these like, product reviews here.

I've also decided to start making my make-up related posts on LJ open instead of friends only locked.
