I'm a Chancellor's Fellow in Design Informatics, School of Design at the University of Edinburgh and BRAID Research Fellow.

With a background in philosophy and music, my research examines how AI is reshaping creative practice, cultural production, and public understanding, with particular attention to agency, authenticity, provenance, and attribution in AI-mediated cultural production.

In 2024, I started the "Creativity, AI, and the Human" research cluster at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, University of Edinburgh. the Creativity, AI, and the Human research cluster at the Edinburgh Futures Institute. My work has been published in venues such as Analysis, Philosophy Compass, Leonardo, and ACM Creativity & Cognition, and my research has been featured in outlets including Nature and Science.

I regularly collaborate with industry, cultural institutions, and policymakers on the future of responsible creative AI.

I hold a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Nottingham (2018) and an artist diploma in piano performance from the Conservatorio G.B. Martini, Bologna, Italy (2014).
