Configuration of the Catalog Showcase module #
So to start with the module the admin needs to follow the following steps-
- Go to the admin dashboard and from the navigation menu click on the Catalog option
- After this from the submenu list click on the “Module” submenu and here the Catalog module will be enabled by default.
Now let us look at the different settings related with the catalog showcase module –
Shopping Journey #
- Sitewide buy mode: This setting transforms your site into a product catalog by disabling all purchasing functionality. It’s enabled by default. To allow users to purchase products, you’ll need to disable this setting, which requires the CatalogX Pro plugin to be installed and activated.
- Cart/Checkout Redirect Page: When catalog mode is active, users clicking on the cart or checkout pages are typically redirected to the Homepage. This setting allows you to customize the redirection, letting you choose a specific page where users will be sent when they click on the cart or checkout links.
