Esta siendo ejecutado mediante el contrato de Obra P\u00fablica No. 4600004806 el 11 de diciembre de 2015 firmado entre la Secretar\u00eda de Infraestructura del Departamento de Antioquia y el Consorcio Antioquia Al Mar.<br><br>El proyecto tiene como finalidad el mejoramiento de las condiciones de conectividad de Medell\u00edn con el Urab\u00e1 antioque\u00f1o y en general del departamento de Antioquia con el centro del pa\u00eds, la Costa Pac\u00edfica y Atl\u00e1ntica, logrando igualmente optimizar el transporte y facilitar el comercio exterior, as\u00ed como los flujos de productos y mercanc\u00edas con destino al mercado nacional.<br><br>Es por lo anterior, que la construcci\u00f3n de la Nueva V\u00eda al Mar T\u00fanel del Toyo y sus v\u00edas de acceso es de vital importancia para unir las concesiones Mar 1 (Medell\u00edn-Santa Fe de Antioquia-) y Mar 2 (Ca\u00f1asgordas-El Tigre), garantizando la conectividad de todo el sistema vial establecido.<br><br>La totalidad del proyecto tiene una longitud aproximada de 39.5 kil\u00f3metros de v\u00eda nueva, su dise\u00f1o permitir\u00e1 alcanzar una velocidad de 80 kil\u00f3metros por hora, permitiendo una disminuci\u00f3n en tiempos de recorrido hacia Urab\u00e1 desde Medell\u00edn en 4.5 horas; CASS constructores tuvo el 49%.
