In terms of what type of characters you love, Well, manga is out of the loop since the general public doesn't read it. Anime might be alright since it is shown on Cartoon Network, so you are only limited to those shows. Comics are good with all the new movies but they are heros but heroines.

I also got some ideas from them to share with you. Naruto is pretty and hinata ore sakura is also good. If you want male, hao asakura or one of the naruto characters or the movie which well do good as well.

Otherwise, serah farron from the video game final fantasy xiii, she is a recognizable character and the costume is simple but pretty cute.
