Iowa apartment fire update.

The City of Riverside has established an evacuation center at Bordwell Park. Check-in is in the Stratton Community Center located at 2008 Martin Luther King Blvd., Riverside, CA 92507.

Campus Safety Advisory: Active Fire at 3996 Iowa Avenue

Emergency personnel from the Riverside Fire Department, Riverside Police Department, and UCRPD are currently responding to an active structure fire at 3996 Iowa Avenue.

Due to the location of the fire, smoke is visibly drifting across the west side of the UCR campus. Community members who are sensitive to smoke or experiencing negative impacts are advised to take appropriate safety precautions. UCRPD will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.

Campus Status will update if changes occur. Check back often.
