Experience Design is a holistic and integrative approach to design that focuses on the quality of the human experience in concrete situations. It employs investigation, analysis, creativity and technology as tools to understand human goals, needs and desires, and to mediate the human experience. The Experience Design program embraces research-driven design thinking for entrepreneurship and innovation, focusing on important global challenges of today.
The Game Science and Design program that seeks to give students a comprehensive understanding of how successful game products are created in a player-centric environment. Join an accomplished program and thriving academic community where you will develop a deep understanding of the playability and analytics that make products successful in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
The Information Design and Data Visualization (IDDV) program equips students with the skills to transform complex data into meaningful visual narratives. Bridging design, statistics and emerging technologies, the program prepares students to communicate insights clearly and ethically across a wide range of domains from public policy and healthcare to business intelligence and journalism. With a focus on both creative exploration and analytical rigor, students learn to craft data-driven stories that inform, persuade and inspire action in an increasingly data-rich world.
The Journalism program merges fundamentals of journalism with training in cutting-edge digital tools and techniques.
Uniquely designed through a collaboration between CAMD and the School of Law, Media Advocacy is an interdisciplinary program focused on the intersection of communication, digital media, law and policy. It is designed to teach strategic advocacy skills and prepare graduates to succeed as resilient, media-empowered citizens in a global society.
The Media Innovation and Data Communication program focuses on the current revolution in data storytelling and computational methods in media work; the rapid evolution in video, animation, and augmented/virtual reality technologies; and social networks and digital analytics. Graduates will be prepared to become leaders in media firms and outlets engaged with cutting-edge technologies and innovative digital startups, as well as a broad range of media and communications organizations across the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The Media, Technology, and Ethics program combines analysis, problem-solving, and hands-on projects that empower students to navigate the complex intersections of technology, media, and ethics. Students will graduate with the intellectual concepts and practical skills to excel in diverse career paths in diverse industries including information technology, media, healthcare, or advanced academic research.
Our NAAB accredited, STEM-designated MArch program takes an approach of radical pragmatism – finding design innovation within the realities of today’s urban challenges, from climate change and social equity to real estate markets and building preservation. With Boston’s dynamic metropolitan area as your laboratory, students develop both the technical expertise and strategic vision needed to move architects to the center of discussions about our cities’ futures.
