These changes also provide answers for the mechanics of the flood and presage even more dramatic realignments of the solar system at the return of Christ.

This paper introduces an image analysis based automated thermal barrier coating porosity measurement (TBCPM) framework. The proposed automated image analysis framework consists of two modules, including 1) top coat layer detection module, and 2) microstructure recognition and porosity measurement module. The first module is designed to automatically identify the top coat layer, a region of interest (ROI), in a thermal barrier coating image using a histogram-based approach. The second module recognizes the microstructures in the top coat layer using a local thresholding based image segmentation. The experimental results demonstrate that the porosity measurement produced from the proposed TBCPM framework is comparable to that of the domain experts.

Many Bible commentators have taken this Cephas to be Simon Peter, resulting in incongruous translations of Luke 24:34 that do not fit in with the story flow. This paper shows that the Cephas mentioned by Paul in his letters is not Simon Peter but Cleopas who was walking with an unknown disciple on the road to Emmaus.

In addition, current DW technologies and literature on classification techniques are reviewed.FindingsThe classification is structured in order to encompass current technologies, but also to be expandable to accommodate new ones that could be identified in the future as belonging to the DW remit. It is developed considering three dimensions related to DW: “Technology” to encompass all the processes, apparatuses, principles and tools which allow DW manufacturing; “Applications” to consider all the “types of manufactured goods” which could be produced with the DW technologies; and “Materials” which could be employed in DW manufacturing. The classification scheme is visualised into navigation maps and used as the basis of a software tool which can allow the community to exchange information on DW.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper proposes a classification as a tool for knowledge exchange and to support knowledge organisation and retrieval. However, the classification proposed in this paper might not be the only possible solution.Practical implicationsThe definitional framework is proposed to the DW community as a language tool to help communication among members with different perspectives and to be used to support the creation of information databases. It is embodied in a software tool through which they could file personal profiles (i.e. their expertise and interests) and hence map the community.Originality/valueIt is evident that, due to the heterogeneity of the community of scientists and practitioners interested in these technologies, many perspectives coexisted and that a communication platform is required. The authors decide to develop a classification which could be flexible enough to encompass new emerging technologies as the use of classifications as tools for supporting communication across the scientific community is well known and as the authors could not identify in literature any other DW technology classification which could satisfy these requirements.

This paper discusses a translational alternative that resolves the issues and produce an Exodus population of 250,000 to 300,000. Mistranslation of the number system used by Moses has repercussions for many of the numerical references in the Pentateuch, and the books of Joshua and Judges. This significantly changes lifespan values and consequently, the Biblical timeline.

The process-structure-property correlations to the coating technology are very important for achieving lifetime durability and sustainability. An important measure of coating integrity is the porosity of the surface structure. Traditionally porosity of the deposit is obtained by microscopy of the surface and the use of software based on grayscale threshold setting. This paper evaluates the grayscale threshold method using MATLAB for determining porosity on test images of a thermal barrier coating (TBC). Also, it is found that the porosity of test images can be assessed within 0.5% by the above method.

An Electromagnetic Wave Propagation Equation (EWPE) is proposed that is unconstrained by Einstein... more An Electromagnetic Wave Propagation Equation (EWPE) is proposed that is unconstrained by Einstein’s upper light speed limit. The hypothesis is that light and other electromagnetic waves are propagated in vacuum at a speed given by c2 = k/ɤ, where c = propagation speed of the electromagnetic wave, k is a constant and ɤ = the gravity field density, given by ɤ = M/r2, where M = the mass influencing the gravity and r = the distance from the center of the ‘M’ mass. This relationship, together with light path distortion due to gravitational rotation, is shown to explain the anomalies observed in the Pioneer 10/11 trajectories, the Explorer I, III and IV trajectory mismatch, as well as the orbital energy changes observed with near-earth flybys. This finding, if validated, will significantly impact the post-Einstein science framework and provides new perspectives for understanding the nature of the universe, including the particle/wave duality behavior of light and other electromagnetic phenomena.

This paper examines the context of the Biblical verses in which the name is used and shows that, in many instances, the translation to ‘Euphrates’ cannot be correct.

Biblical genealogies principally align the descendants of Shem with the white race, the descendants of Ham with the black/brown races and the descendants of Japheth with the mongoloid race. A historical examination of migration patterns shows the focal point of the racial separation is centered at the Pamir mountain plateau in Asia.

Such an event will be hardly noticeable to earth’s inhabitants except for the increased length of the day to some, and the night to others. A similar event can explain the sundial going backwards ten degrees in Hezekiah’s time.

Graham Scroggie’s postulate for the day of the crucifixion. The analysis shows a remarkable alignment of astronomical data with historical evidence, when assessed with a new understanding of the length of Christ’s ministry. It was found that Christ began his ministry in the spring/summer of AD 26 and was crucified on Wed April 28, AD 28 (Julian).
