Well, she made it to Cherrygrove in record time. Since riding can cut up to four days off she made it there by Tuesday and had Wednesday to feed and rest Vicky, too. She's right now just relaxing by the shore nearest the town entrance. Her Absol is resting at her side, Vicky is safely tucked in her Pokeball. It's been overcast all day and as Kate understands it Fire types don't like water, so...

There's definitely no arguing that it's fall. It's hard to believe Halloween is just three weeks away. [ I know Abby will be excited. Speaking of whom-- for one at least. ]
Abby, Ziva, I'll be waiting near the town entrance when you guys get here. Thank you for letting me borrow her, by the way. We got into town almost before I even knew it.

[ Of course she would react this way. Wouldn't you? She just woke in a children's game. A children's game from the nineties. She has second cousins and a nephew that plays this stuff. She is a grown woman and a Federal officer she does not have time for this and does not belong here SEND HER BACK RIGHT NOW, DAMN IT, OR THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES.
That's what her look says, sitting next to the sign indicating she's just about to exit New Bark Town. A bullet proof vest underneath a windbreaker are on her person. Her hair is down and she's still wearing her ear piece. Familiar gear. NCIS gear. ]
No. I absolutely refuse to believe it. I must be dreaming! Clearly what happened here is I hit my head when I went down on that roof, and now I'm having some kind of... crazy dream. I'll admit that it's unnervingly vivid for a dream, but there is NO way that I am stuck in a children's video game.

It generally hits hard when she makes grave mistakes or misjudgements on the job, learning from them the hard way on a few occasions, but most important is the fact that she does learn... usually.
Despite her professional approach to work she's quick to bond with others-- particularly female victims, children, and widows, having some belief that their eyes speak true about the person underneath the possible masks. This has led to one of her greatest regrets on the job as well as, unfortunately, her own death as an indirect result of one of these instances; it's both a valuable asset and also a glaring weakness, one that has been used against her on multiple occasions.
Kate can be playful and teasing, and despite being in her late twenties she's proven that she can still act pretty immature when baited. Some mild hazing, competitive tendencies, bickering, indirect name calling-- she's indicated a propensity for all of it with Tony around. The biggest recurring argument they seem to have is about his habit of snooping through her phone, her desk, her garbage in hissuccessful attempts to TROLL her. Kate doesn't exactly fail to rise to Tony's baiting, either. She has a fairly active dating and sex life despite her schedule and she finds it absolutely irritating that he'll stop at nothing to root out information about said dating life. There's also her general... disinterest, awe, sometimes even disgust at the freely shared-- BRAGGED --details of Tony's dating life and amusement and shock at Gibbs'. As for Kate herself-- there are several boyfriends or lovers in canon that are mentioned or seen contacting her during her two seasons on the show. She's also not entirely above dating at least one man that she meets during an investigation who ends up being a suspect. Kate seems to get along well with most people despite some pretty extreme differences, and looks for the good in most.
She seems to become very irritated and snappy towards criminals and suspects (It might just be me but this seemed especially true when it came to the males.), responding with snippy banter and threats. She can be stubborn and fearless, even under threat of harm she would sooner die than let a comrade be hurt or killed, proven when being held at gunpoint by a terrorist, refusing to give him the information he wanted (negated somewhat when a coworker was being held hostage and she was forced to talk for his safety; proven again when she later took a bullet for Gibbs from another terrorist). It's implied by one of her coworker's visions of her postmortem that she does not believe she deserves to be murdered, as she is at the end of the episode she's being pulled from.
She equates one year in Law school to ten years in prison. This might explain her being more flexible in later years (it certainly explains the wet tshirt contest in 94', at least partially). Her work with the Secret Service was (as one can expect) very strict and by the book. Even then there were clearly some rules Kate was willing to break, as it's revealed that she was in a relationship with a coworker, something that was strictly prohibited. Not only this, but she also makes it apparent in that same episode that she's not a virgin nor does she show any shred of remorse for this fact; she can be prude, uptight, and somewhat of a puritan at times, but none of these traits RULE her life.
She's also very defensive about equal rights between the genders. There are many instances in which she corrects her coworkers about job titles, stereotypes, and flat out sexist attitudes (such as calling postal workers "mail carriers" as opposed to "mail men", reading Gibbs the riot act after assuming her gender would determine her eligibility for a case on a submarine, rather than her credentials - Her wikia page claims that she may be feminist, but I believe this is probably more of a trigger topic that comes from likely having to constantly prove herself in a mostly male dominated career field). There's no arguing that Caitlin is extremely headstrong and intelligent. Very little will stop her from voicing her thoughts when she's been fired up, her discipline and self control primarily.
After becoming an NCIS agent Caitlin finds herself bending rules with some alarming frequency, indicating that either by association or necessity she is capable of picking up on other people's habits and methods. She acts as the team's primary psychological profiler and sometimes as their sketch artist, sketching being one of her hobbies.

The fansuwoth was being manipulated without Kate's knowledge. Her back was to the device so that should come as no surprise. Of course she was in her own room, winding down for the night only half dressed. An engagement earlier that evening had left her in a sour mood, a client that hadn't been entirely thrilled with taking no for an answer, so she'd decided to try using a different language-- her fists. It wasn't exactly appreciated, it seemed, but honestly she couldn't care less. He'd had it coming if her opinion were asked and she certainly hadn't spent years serving her country just to let some creep have his way with her in a spirit world's red light district. There was scolding, even if only because of her use of "excessive force". What was considered acceptable self defense back home was considered unruly behavior in Ukiyo, a world that seemed to thrive on more Eastern cultures. Even being in the foreigner's house, being a foreigner, there were still rules to abide by.
Her yukata was loose and hanging off of her shoulders, like she was about to either take it off. She was just brushing her hair for bed. As she gave herself a resigned glance in the mirror and continued running the brush over the dark locks her free hand pulled it over her shoulder so that she could work on the ends as well, giving the camera a clear view of the back of her neck, shoulders, and shoulder blades. A few more strokes and the brush suddenly stopped mid pull.
What was that?
She reached up to touch a spot on her shoulder, looking in the mirror and leaning in with a shocked expression. The ink of her living tattoo was visible, and it looked like it had bloomed a bit over the last couple of hours-- Kate was under the impression that it must have been done overnight while she was asleep, somehow.
"Oh, no way. You have GOT to be KIDDING me."
And just to make matters a little worse, that was also the exact moment that she noticed the indicator light in the mirror too. She let out a mortified yelp:
"It's recording?!"
The rest of Ukiyo had just gotten a first row seat to her little performance up to that point.
There was a flurry of movement and fabric: her yukata being pulled back onto her shoulders, Caitlin rising and spinning to face the fansuwoth, and quick footsteps as she closed the distance. The feed went dead a moment after as she shut it off.

[It takes a few minutes, but suddenly the next post on the network is Kate again, looking no less pleased, only mildly more calm, and definitely properly dressed. Her yukata is tied up and on properly. Her lips form a thin line for a moment, eyes narrow. She only needs a second to open.]
... So does someone want to explain to me what's going on with this tattoo? Tattoos don't just grow on their own, so I want to know who did it. Step forward and own up to it and I promise I won't hurt you. [Much. She offers a sarcastically sweet smile, the kind that suggests that she's using a lot of heavy sarcasm.]
I understand that it's some kind of THING for younger people to "haze the newbies", but this isn't funny. Whatever you drew this on with had better not be permanent. I swear it's like having Tony here.
