BuyDesign is Changing

We would like to inform our community that BuyDesign’s access is changing, moving away from the self-service platform.

This has not been an easy decision. We are incredibly proud of what we set out to do connecting businesses with original ideas and talented designers and grateful to all who contributed. The model worked in principle, with many meaningful collaborations and successes. However, the level of scale required to operate the self-service platform sustainably was ultimately not viable, and the way we work has naturally evolved.

The relationships, creative work, profiles, and network developed through the platform will remain active and valued.

BuyDesign Management – Working directly with you

As access to the platform evolves away from the self-service model, we continue to work directly with businesses, drawing on the same trusted designers, knowledge, and relationships built through the platform.

Over the past year, we have increasingly operated in a more direct, consultancy-led way, with companies contacting us to help define creative direction and assemble tailored teams of designers for new brands and collections. This approach has proven effective and will continue beyond the platform itself.

We’ve evolved into a more effective model and will continue to recommend and introduce designers from the BuyDesign community to businesses seeking creative collaboration.

Next Steps

Over the coming months, direct access to the platform will change as we transition away from the self-service model.

As part of this transition, new project uploads, direct messaging between businesses and designers, and the creation of new agreements through the platform will be phased out. Users may log in to review their information if they wish. Where relevant, we recommend ensuring that any important materials are retained for your own records.

We will continue to access profiles and creative work developed through BuyDesign and, where appropriate, introduce and propose designers to businesses directly. We hope to remain in touch regarding future developments, though you’re free to update your communication preferences at any time.

Agreements

Active or signed contracts and agreements remain valid and will continue in line with their existing terms.

Designers and businesses currently working under signed BuyDesign agreements should proceed as agreed. All parties involved in live projects will be contacted directly should any practical guidance be required.

Privacy & Data

Your privacy matters to us.

All personal information will remain secure and will not be used for any future commercial purpose.
Data will be retained only where legally required and otherwise deleted in line with applicable regulations.
