Library is the heart of educational institutions. So, as to select the open source relevant with comprehensive software and global parameters on the basis of global recommendations like IFLA-Working Group, Integrated Library System for Discovery Interface (ILS-DI), Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Comments (RFC), Service Oriented Architectre (SOA) and Open Library Environment Projects (OLE) including the areas like integrated library system cluster, digital media archiving cluster, content management system cluster, learning content management system cluster, federated search system cluster and college communication interaction cluster for designing and developing the college libraries under the University of Burdwan. Also develop the single window based interface in six domain specific cluster for the college librarians and the users to access their necessary resources through open source software and open standards. These six domain specific cluster softwares are to be selected for easily managed the digital and library resources in the college libraries affiliated to the University of Burdwan. This integrated framework can easily managed the housekeeping operations and information retrieval systems like acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, member generation, authority control, report generation and online public access catalogue forthe users as well as library professionals also.

But this paper has discussed the map based search facilities in Koha OPAC in geographic search environment. Users can easily be idientified the documents relating to different countries and this can be achieved by a single click on the map option in cluster. This is very user-friendly whereusers have easily search their relevant documents in a little bit of time. This can saved the time of the reader. This interface is developed by using the open source online tool geobatch and Koha ILS software for easy integration and provides better usercentric search interface in modern library environment.

Now the methodology is very simple to perform and add the different items in this system. Integrated this VRA Core metadata framework with the Omeka open source software for the better management of library resources. Apart from this it is also manage the Museum for cataloguing the different images with suitable metadata. This integrated framework is very user-friendly for easy install and configure the metadata with fulltext documents and also display the ngram view with sequence graph of different metadata available in the database.

Asi... more The present study attempt to compare the research output in terms of publications between two Asian giants India and china in nuclear science and technology for the period 2000 to 2019 as indexed in web of Science database under different parameters like publications size, mode of communication, research wise distribution, authorship pattern and collaboration pattern, citation pattern. The study reveals that India published 8637 research papers while China published 16879 papers which is almost twice of India’s publication. India leads China in terms of average citation per paper. China shows tremendous growth after 2012. In terms of collaboration, Germany is at the top with India and USA is at the top with China. Researchers have tendency to publish their papers in group rather than individual. Contributors from both the countries have tendency to publish their paper in journal. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre share 37% of the total output of India’s publication where Chinese Academy of Science shares 33% of the total output of China in nuclear science and technology.
