The paper examines policy and governance strategic communication. This paper uses the theory of the agenda as a theoretical framework for the access of political and democratic strategic communication. Good communication strategies in both the developed and developed countries can be an important force for change. The paper looked at how strategic communication in Nigeria is used as part of the national development policy environment and strategy. The paper concludes that strategic communication has helped foster meaningful dialog in various sectors of society, fosters a common vision for the country's future, and helps build on material and non-material resources to achieve a national shared vision that will enable us to find the motor for development.

First, it addresses in a critical manner how the media system interacts with and affects the overall disposition of power in society. Second, it examines how market structures, advertising support, labor relations, profit motivation, technologies, and government policies shape media industries, journalistic practices, occupational sociology, and the nature and content of the news and entertainment. The detailed examination of the policymaking process is the third core component. Political economic analysis suggests that media development has been inflected most strongly at critical junctures, moments when media technologies, political power, and economic structures simultaneously undergo stress and change. The present moment suggests the potential for political economic study of the media to have real impact. INTRODUCTION A clear and effective communication strategy is a critical component of national dev... more INTRODUCTION A clear and effective communication strategy is a critical component of national development and growth. The lack of a consistent national policy on communication growth has been a major problem for Nigeria as a developing country over the years. According to Akinfeleye (2008), "the near formation that can be found is muffled and are generally deduced from communication practice which is in themselves the not articulated course of action (i.e. policies)" (p. 67). These deductions, on the other hand, are incoherent, latent and unharmonized, unarticulated, and disjointed. These have far-reaching implications for the country's growth. This is because, rather than serving as mediating factors in national growth, communication policies have in most cases hampered development processes due to a lack of harmonized affairs (Akinfeleye, 2008). Because of the media widespread presence in today's culture, the government and professional bodies typically enact a number of laws, including legislative, institutional, and practice guidelines, to regulate the conduct and operations of communications experts, practitioners, and organizations. The media role as a mass network, a catalyst for socialization, engagement, and democratization in modern society has made it vulnerable to government influence, regulation, and often "oppression/suppression" through a variety of policies aimed at shaping, directing, and controlling the media landscape.

This study examined newspaper coverage of agricultural news. To determine how often newspapers, report agricultural news, to ascertain the level of prominence given to agricultural news by the Nigerian newspapers, to determine the range of agricultural issues reported in Nigerian newspapers. The researcher used content analysis to study Daily Trust, and Vanguard newspapers published between May, 2015 and May, 2016. The study found out that 33 out of 1498 stories studied covered agriculture positively. However, the study also revealed that no agricultural news was seen in front, back pages of the two newspapers indicating lack of prominence. The researcher therefore recommended that the Nigerian media should accord more prominence to agricultural news coverage.

We prove the strong convergence of the proposed iterative scheme to the unique solution of some variational inequality. The methods in this article are interesting and different from those given in many other articles. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by many authors.

The sample for the study was selected from one Secondary School in Nigeria. Four sets of graduates' data were used. Thus, 474 students were used as the study sample. Primary data were used as the methodology, while the knowledge of finite Markov chain was used to analyse the data collected for the study. Base on the result obtained in this study when compared with the actual values from the actual data, indicated that the model formulated, proves very efficient and can be accepted as suitable for predicting the Academic progress of the sampled school.

Convex Anal.16), and inspired by Moudafi (2010 Inverse Problem 26), in this paper, we study the modified algorithm of Yu and Sheng for the strongly quasi -nonexpansive operators to solve the split common fixed-point problem (SCFP) in the framework of Hilbert space. Furthermore we proved the strong convergence for the (SCFPP) by imposing some conditions. Our results extend and improved/developed some recent result announced.

communication space, particularly with the advent of the internet. Nigerian media, like
media in other parts of the world, is going through a period of rapid internet and ICT
penetration. Nigerian newspapers have unquestionably found themselves in an online
world where the advancement of ICT has greatly facilitated their use. This study,
therefore investigates how online media, particularly newspapers, use clickbait titles as
tools to lure their readers to click on particular titles in their websites. The study adopts
a hybrid method of content analysis that involves the use of Algorithmic Text Analysis
using Litrl News Verification Browser which was developed by the Language and
Information Research Lab of the Faculty of Information and Media Studies University
Of Western Ontario, London Canada to help in detecting clickbait, fake news, and
fabricated news and manual quantitative content analysis. The study is situated within
the theories of Technological Determinism by Marshall McLuhan and Mediamorphosis
developed by Roger Fidler. The major findings of this study reveal that, out of 10,242
news titles, 5,039 are clickbait titles, which constitute almost half of the news titles
amounting to 49.2 percent of all news categories. Also, the study findings reveal that
The Tribune newspaper gives more prominence to clickbait titles than any other
newspaper more than one-third of the clickbait titles found are on the top part of its
homepage. The study recommends that the use of clickbait titles in online newspapers
in Nigerian should be controlled. Individuals should be equipped with clickbait detecting tools.
