WPMU + mutiple domain + simlinks = Plz Help!!!

running WPMU + buddypress

on mediatemple DV server,

attempting to point multiple domains to the main site… however, when I change the DNS to match my server, the new domains show up as sub domains…. anyone know where i should start?

example:

maindomain.com

2nddomain.com

when i type in 2nddomain.com, it takes me here

http://2nddomain.com.maindomain.com

which then redirects me to:

maindomain.com/wp-signup.php?new=2nddomain.com

MediaTemple says I need to create a simlink…. I dont know how to do this, and they wont show me…

plz help… I will throw money at this if I have to

to clarify…..

site installed here domain.com

i want to change the domain.com to newdomain.com

exported domain,

found/replaced old domain.com with newdomain.com

changed mp_config

works for the most part… some errors though….

can’t upload group avatars… “dont have permission”

what am I missing?

Folder permissions? Folder owner?

change the options for blog 1 in the database

i have done this, changed the blog on hyrxx.com to hyrxx.tv

however, i have the multi site manager installed, this way i could just move the blog and then change the options in the db and done.

what i think your trying to do is change the whole install to another domain correct? (including files??)
