installed RC2 on wpmu 2.7.1

everything works fine

tried to install latest bp-dev (r-233)

getting error (missing bpdev-core files)

I had to comment out the below line to remove error…. file doesnt exist

// require_once ( ‘bpdev-core/bpdev-search.php’ );

some functions are still not working

– groups extra gives error

– autosuggest search doesnt work

anyone else having issues?

Switch off all plugins and activate bpdev-core.php as first,

did that…. what about the fact that bp-dev-core has:

require_once ( ‘bpdev-core/bpdev-search.php’ );

The search problem is fixed in latest

to solve the second one,

copy bpdev-groups-extra-config.php.sample to bpdev-groups-extra-config.php

and activate it in WPADMIN -> plugins -> installed as sitewide

flickr thickbox is a nice improvement….

for my site admin, everytime i refresh the profile, the username in the flick settings changes to a random user

I left the flickr settings fields blank

?

is the autosuggest meant to work on all “search field inputs” ?

like buddybar, members/groups search in header, /members area, etc

or does it only work in the search bar added to the buddybar?

hum, Nicola, can you update your releases?… or give-over your work so guys can update them?

these tools are “useful” only if they work, and it look from your site that you’re not updating anything for a long period…

This thread is six months old, it’s been marked as ‘resolved’ so not many people are even going to click it open, and the fact that BuddyPress is covered by the GPL license, means any plugins that use BuddyPress will also be GPL. This means you can do whatever you want within the terms of that license. This means you can ‘fork’ the software and provide updated versions if you so want to.

i personally prefer asking permission instead of forking anything, the GPL is not that free..

btw, Nicola was on the site today, so i suppose he is reading the forum as well…
