Hacia una fundamentación ético-normativa del sujeto de derecho RESUMEN En este artículo se debate... more Hacia una fundamentación ético-normativa del sujeto de derecho RESUMEN En este artículo se debaten tres aspectos del concepto de la moral: el primero se refiere a la puesta en duda de la existencia misma, no sólo del concepto sino de la posible o imposible fundamentación de lo moral per se. En segundo lugar, la positivización del término llevado a lo normativo como una búsqueda de objetividad de lo moral y, el tercer aspecto, la crítica a la moral imperativa desde posturas dogmáticas. Se defiende que no es suficiente la perfectibilidad de las leyes desde un punto de vista de la moralidad, sino que existe lo que podríamos llamar un fundamento personal, y al mismo tiempo, colectivo de comprensión del Derecho; entendido como el bienestar individual y colectivo para la realización de una vida plena en la polis. La moralidad, por tanto, si bien no es posible definirla en modo explicativo, racional, necesita de una base en valores compartidos con aspiraciones objetivistas y, al mismo tiempo, universalistas.

Este estudio presenta los resultados de una investigación cuantitativa de alcance exploratorio qu... more Este estudio presenta los resultados de una investigación cuantitativa de alcance exploratorio que tuvo por objetivo recuperar y explorar las experiencias de los estudiantes de nivel licenciatura, que tuvieron que concluir el semestre de primavera 2020 por medio de clases no presenciales con los medios que disponían durante la etapa de mayor incertidumbre sobre la pandemia generada por Covid-19. Se aplicó un cuestionario con preguntas cerradas y abiertas a 124 estudiantes de las licenciaturas de Estomatología, Medicina General y Comunitaria, Nutrición Clínica y de Psicología de una unidad académica regional en la zona nororiental del Estado de Puebla. Entre los resultados se destaca que, aunque la mayoría de los estudiantes cuenta con un servicio de internet para realizar sus tareas y acceder a sus clases, se señala como problema constante para cubrir objetivos de aprendizaje la baja calidad en conexión a internet. "Los objetivos de la regionalización universitaria, asumidos responsablemente por la Benemér... more "Los objetivos de la regionalización universitaria, asumidos responsablemente por la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, han sido, además de descentralizar los programas universitarios a nivel profesional y de enseñanza media, generar una visión que homologue las condiciones para la educación, la docencia, la investigación y su divulgación; lo mismo que para la extensión, la vinculación, la cultura y, sobre todo, el compromiso, desde Rectoría, de coadyuvar al desarrollo regional en donde la población más lo necesita, que es en las áreas no urbanas. Fueron precisamente los estudios regionales los que permitieron a nuestra Casa de Estudios generar una visión diferenciada pero, al mismo tiempo, integradora del concepto focal de universidad [unidad] a través de sus distintos complejos regionales. Atención a las necesidades específicas y visión de conjunto fueron, han sido y serán los criterios para el desarrollo de proyectos integradores que fortalezcan el desarrollo del estado de Puebla. En un esfuerzo por darle cohesión a la diversidad, dentro del conjunto de la vasta zona en que se asienta el Complejo Regional Nororiental se hizo este esfuerzo por conocer los trabajos de los docentes protagonistas, reconocer distintos saberes, generar nuevas líneas de investigación y fomentar el trabajo intelectual que enriquezca la cátedra, en forma de ensayo libre y escrito.

En este trabajo, resultado de un acopio prolongado de experiencias y relatos desde la tradición o... more En este trabajo, resultado de un acopio prolongado de experiencias y relatos desde la tradición oral de los pobladores de la Sierra Nororiental de Puebla y regiones vecinas del estado de Veracruz, se hace una recopilación de platillos que constituyen la usanza y costumbres culinarias en la región y que más allá de la práctica nutrimental de los mismos, se pone en evidencia el elemento sociocultural del entorno alimentario de las comunidades que la conforman. Se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad semiestructuradas con personas dispuestas a compartir su conocimiento y vivencias en torno a la atmósfera del platillo, desde su ámbito cotidiano hasta el festivo y ceremonial. The issue of whether artificial intelligence systems could potentially develop some form of consc... more The issue of whether artificial intelligence systems could potentially develop some form of consciousness or self-awareness is a subject of ongoing debate in the fields of philosophy, cognitive science, and computer science. Some authors such as Bostrom, Chalmers, Minsky, Hassabis, and Kosinski argue that consciousness is a property of certain complex information processing systems and that under certain circumstances, they could reproduce the necessary processes to generate a type of "artificial consciou sness". Others, such as Searle, Penrose, a nd Dreyfus, argue that it is an exclusively human phenomenon with a biological correlate and that consciousness could not emerge in a machine. However, with the disruption caused by large language models and other self-generative technologies, this dispute seems to be unable to be resolved with a categorical answer. This paper argues that certain semantic aspects of the term must be resolved first in order to be extrapolated to nonhuman entities.

Existen muchos marcos éticos con aspiraciones normativas para el desarrollo de la inteligencia ar... more Existen muchos marcos éticos con aspiraciones normativas para el desarrollo de la inteligencia artificial, pero ninguno de ellos es en realidad, vinculante. Ello, dicen los escépticos, es porque los principios no representan un cambio de enfoque en los desarrolladores por ser tan abstractos y demasiado generales. Tampoco logran ser interpretados para aplicarse a entornos y situaciones específicas. Peor aún, las empresas del sector simulan seguir sus propios códigos, para que todo siga igual, sin una normativa jurídica aplicable. La IA ha venido a cambiar las reglas del juego y debemos prepararnos para escenarios de gran incertidumbre. A pesar de todo ello, en este trabajo documentado, el autor rescata y construye argumentos a favor de la necesidad de la ética de la IA y la urgencia de seguir trabajando en la construcción de consensos y un marco que asegure el bien común y el progreso responsable de las tecnologías de la información de cara al futuro.

Approaches in multidisciplinary studies are defining the neurophysiological and cognitive foundat... more Approaches in multidisciplinary studies are defining the neurophysiological and cognitive foundations in moral decision-making processes. Some start from concepts of the philosophy that psychology develops, and that the neurosciences of medicine corroborate through imaging techniques. In this article, some results concerning the neuronal activity located in the evaluation and construction of the judgment are reviewed. The results of these investigations agree that there are patterns of neuronal activation that are associated with emotions and with social cognition, as well as an evolution and maturation of these patterns.

The subject is approached from the perspective of Thomas Aquinas and it is concluded that the actus essendi theory, which recovers the transcendental and divine dimension of the person, with the subsequent implications for practical philosophy, it is a viable safeguard of the ultimate meaning of man's being, his dignity and the overcoming of the materialist position of the immanence and finitude of the subject. <br>
This article is a philosophical elucidation about the concept of nature in relation to man. The q... more This article is a philosophical elucidation about the concept of nature in relation to man. The question is not idle: is there something such as nature, or is it only a way of stringing together everything that is not man-made? Given that the ethical, political and instrumental dimension that will be adopted depends on the way in which this concept is constructed. The concept of life is also analyzed. It is concluded that the solutions for biosphere sustainability must be radical and that there is no need to depend on the ghost of our disappearance as a species to make definitive and long-term decisions.

However, he considers that none of them is sufficient to maintain that an ethican based on principles should be preferable to a ethic by consensus or utilitarian. It concludes that the above not cancel the need to adopt a conceptual legitimacy that human rights claim. From a theoretical rationality, a normative ethic can never be justified, instead, from a practical rationality, the author considers it better to continue believing in the value of human rights as a universal imperative, even if it is rationally unprovable.
The somatic marker hypothesis (SMH) has been one of the most influential theories in the neurosci... more The somatic marker hypothesis (SMH) has been one of the most influential theories in the neurosciences since the early 1990s, when it was formulated by Antonio Damasio in his book Descartes' Error (1994). Since then, various studies, for and against, have been written without a verdict. Firstly, this study provides a comprehensive explanation of the SMH. Secondly, it provides a detailed assessment of the relevance of the amygdala in the process of making unconscious decisions. In contrast, we cite some results that suggest that the ventromedial prefrontal cortex would be involved in our rational decisions. Finally, we review some of the criticism of the SMH that was based on the mixed results obtained in the Iowa Gambling Task. We suggest that the main value of the SMH is that it resolves the brain-body duality problem.
