This community is for anyone who lives, has lived, or wishes to live in Brisbane (capital of sunny Queensland - Australia)! Meet new people in your area or catch up with old friends, chat about anything, arrange meet ups, post pictures of you streaking across ANZ stadium, advertise your local Brisbane band or your next open house party! It's also a good way to stay in touch with people you met while visiting Brisbane!
I can personally and whole-heartedly recommend True Love at Sherwood (close to the station)for fantastic top class work.
Also seen fantastic work from West Side in West End; ditto All Star.
Depends what style you want, best thing to do is look up websites of shops then if you like what you see, go in and check out the vibe/atmosphere yourself. I know it can be time consuming but it's going to be on your body forever.
Seconding these suggestions. Westside, All Star & True Love all get regularly recommended when this question comes up.
I have a friend who flies down from Darwin to get tattooed at Westside.
Keep in mind that some artists have long waiting lists due to heavy demand, or may not be taking on new clients at the moment. It's worth the wait though if you find an artist's portfolio that really appeals to you.
Mod note: I will tag this post for you with the "tattoos" tag, to make it easier for you to check through previous entries on this subject :)
I just happened upon Martina at Stafford Tattoo on Stafford Road, she did three matching tattoos for us for my friend's wedding - she has some *amazing* artwork in her portfolio, is really chilled and relaxed did an amazing job. I would definitely go back to her.
No website, but it's next to the dive shop and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
guys at westside in west end are pretty helpful although i hvent got my tatt yet. do not go to the one in the valley in the mall. i was a little on the pissed side and they still tattooed me and ripped me off for a tattoo i am ashamed to have. my fault for being drunk and asking for a tattoo but he saw it as $100 and not a client he should look after.
Ask for Vince!
DO NOT go to Studio 64 in Uunderwood - Biggest Ripoff and shittest artists!
