This 1986 Buick Riviera is a first-year seventh-generation coupe that accumulated 35k miles with one owner in Massachusetts before the selling dealer’s 2026 acquisition. Optioned with gray and silver two-tone paint over gray velour upholstery, the car has a touch-screen Graphic Control Center for the stereo and automatic climate controls along with power-adjustable front seats, power windows and locks, a cassette player, and a digital instrument cluster. A fuel-injected 3.8-liter V6 is paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle, and additional equipment includes a power glass sunroof, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ aluminum wheels, and power-adjustable mirrors. This Riviera is offered by the selling dealer in New York at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a Massachusetts title.

A gray pinstripe separates the optional two-tone Gunmetal Metallic and Silver Metallic finishes. The car has a power-operated glass sunroof, a power-retractable antenna, quad halogen headlights, a hood ornament, and Riviera-branded mud flaps. Paint meter readings from around the car are shown in the gallery below.

The 15″ aluminum wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car has four-wheel independent suspension, and braking is provided by power-assisted discs at all four corners.

The power-adjustable front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in gray velour upholstery. A center console houses a T-handle shifter along with controls for the power windows and power-adjustable mirrors, while a factory cassette player is mounted at the base of the center stack.

Introduced in the 1986 Riviera, Buick’s Graphic Control Center consists of a central CRT touchscreen that controls the radio and automatic climate control as well as providing a trip computer and readouts of various diagnostic information.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a digital instrument cluster with miles per hour, fuel remaining, and trip odometer readouts in English or metric values. The digital odometer indicates 35k miles.

The fuel-injected 3.8-liter V6 was factory rated at 142 horsepower. The fluids were changed and the car was serviced in preparation for the sale. It passed a New York safety inspection in July 2026.

Power is delivered to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transaxle.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
