Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger was born on July 30, 1947 in Thal bei Graz, Steiermark, Germany. Arnold began his career as a bodybuilder. He was so devoted to it, he even went AWOL from the Austrian Army to compete in bodybuilding competition and spent a week in jail as a result. In 1967, Arnold became the youngest man ever at 20 to win the Mr. Universe title, which he thought would be the title that would lead him to fame; he would later win the title four more times. In 1970, he won his first Mr. Olympia title, which he would go on to win a total of seven times. Arnold's first acting work also came in 1970, when he played the lead role in the film Hercules in New York. Other early films of note include Conan the Barbarian, Conan the Destroyer, and 1984s The Terminator.

Arnold continued to take on film roles, both in action and branching out into comedy. Arnold appeared in such films as T2: Judgment Day, Twins, Total Recall, Kindergarden Cop, True Lies, and Junior to name a few. Arnold's career took a turn towards the political realm in 2003, when California recalled their governor, and through a new election, Arnold won the position of governor, with his nearest opponent getting less than 30% of the vote.
