Education & Team Development

Learning Together. Caring Together. Growing Together.

At Boston MedFlight, clinical excellence doesn’t happen by chance—it’s the result of an unwavering commitment to education, preparation, and continuous learning. We don’t just expect our teams to meet the highest standards in critical care—we give them the tools, training, and support to exceed them.

A Foundation of Excellence

Every Boston MedFlight clinician—whether nurse or paramedic—undergoes a comprehensive and rigorous onboarding process that goes far beyond orientation. New team members complete a structured training program that includes:

  • Clinical rotations in intensive care units, emergency departments, neonatal and pediatric ICUs, and adult and pediatric operating rooms
  • High-fidelity simulation training for real-world emergency scenarios
  • Procedural labs to build hands-on proficiency in advanced interventions
  • Classroom instruction covering a wide range of transport and critical care medicine topics

This onboarding process ensures every team member is fully prepared to deliver ICU-level care in any environment, from trauma scenes to high-risk interfacility transports

Training That Never Stops

The learning doesn’t end after onboarding. In fact, it never stops. Our commitment to ongoing professional development means that every clinician continues to grow, refine their skills, and stay up to date with the latest in critical care and transport medicine. This includes:

  • Collaborative training with referring and receiving hospital teams to align on best practices
  • Twice-monthly continuing education sessions, featuring case reviews, clinical updates, and new research
  • Quarterly simulation refreshers per team member to maintain readiness for high-acuity, low-frequency events
  • Peer review and performance feedback, fostering a culture of safety and accountability

Raising the Bar—Together

At Boston MedFlight, clinical excellence is only part of the story. Compassion, teamwork, and a relentless focus on the patient are woven into everything we do.

Our team members aren’t just highly skilled—they’re deeply committed to showing up with empathy, integrity, and a patient-first mindset.

We also believe that how we care for each other shapes how we care for our patients. That’s why we foster a culture where collaboration, mentorship, and emotional resilience are just as valued as clinical precision.

Our team members are not only learners; they’re leaders and educators.
